Saturday, December 10

Echo Park Community Holiday Parade:  line up starts at 10am along Sunset Boulevard just past Vin Scully Avenue; the parade begins at 11am, runs down Sunset until Taix Restaurant.  We need marchers who are strong enough to hold our banner!

Second Sunday of Advent, December 6

December 6 is the second Sunday of Advent. Join us for worship as we prepare for the arrival of baby Jesus!  Our holiday activities are in full swing. This past Friday, we welcomed the participants of the 28th Annual AIDs Posada, with music, food, and our generous spirit.

Next weekend, we will march in the Echo Park Community Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 12 (line up between 10am and 11). On Sunday, December 13 at noon, we will have our Christmas Party in the basement hall, with potluck and UMW entertainment. Donations will be collected for the Methodist hospital in Arcadia.

Hi, everyone- we are back online!

It is November of 2014, and a lot is going on at Echo Park UMC!  All month, we are collecting non-perishable foods to fill our Native American ministries food pantry.  Bring them in on any Sunday in November, and put them on the altar during offering time, so we can bless them.  On Sunday, November 16, the United Methodist Women are holding a Packing Party after church to prepare the Christmas gift shoe boxes for needy families around the world.

On Friday December 5, we will be the Inn that welcomes Mary and Joseph at the end of the Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic AIDs Posada!  Singers are needed to sing The Posada Song at our gate, and volunteers are needed to represent the church during the serving of the holiday meal (pozole and tamales- yum!).

On Saturday December 13, we will be marching in the Echo Park Community Holiday Parade!  Break out your jingle bells and Santa hats and join us for a wonderful family event.
