Beloved sisters and brothers: As followers of Jesus Christ, we know that we are but stewards of the good gifts that God has entrusted to us. We are not owners. Ownership implies that we have absolute control over the things in our possession and are free to use them in whatever way we choose. Stewardship, by contrast, means that we care for things that belong to someone else. We dont use what we have solely for our own benefit, but for the benefit of the one who has entrusted them to us.
